Iron deficiency in plants causes slow growth rates, poor color for green and red plants and overall poor health. FlorinBase Laterin Substrat VF is ideal for planted aquariums because it stores and makes minerals available for plants. This high porosity, kiln-fired clay substrate contains a multitude of minerals including iron to ensure plant health and new growth. A very fine granular substrate designed to be used as a base layer above FlorinBase Laterite powder.
